A Quick Trip to Robstown for Lunch
December 21, 2014

We had some Christmas things to get to our son David and his family, and we didn't want to mail them.  He agreed to meet us 1/2 way between his home and ours for lunch today.  Mom decided she was up to making the trip with us.  David's family decided to come with him.  My brother and his wife who live in Corpus met us there after they got out of church and we all had a great time being together for a few hours.

We arrived at Chili's at opening time (10:45).  We were there until after 2:00.  We had such a nice visit.  Dee and Ron had a good time teasing each other.  David has trained her well to take the teasing and she is learning to dish it out in return.  Anthony is growing up so fast and is such a bright young man.

The food was great, the service was good, the family time was priceless!  I did pretty well at the table in the restaurant, hearing.  Maybe it is noisy children in restaurants in Brownsville that is part of the problem.  Most of the people there were coming from church and seemed for the most part to be an older crowd.

My brother and his wife arrived about the time we finished eating but we were still visiting and so they ordered and ate their lunch while we continued to visit.
Following lunch we took several photos before we all scattered to our various locations.  It was a gray day with some drizzle, but not too cold and the traffic was not heavy.  It was a very good trip.

Once we got back to town, we dropped Mom off at her place.  She continues to make good progress and talked today about taking up a new project.  She isn't ready to slow down, but may change types of activities a little while her healing continues.

As soon as we unloaded the car, I managed to break a tooth.  It is one that has been slowly chipping away, but I had hoped to wait until January to have work done on it.  It may not wait!
