OK, Now it is Tax Day
April 15, 2016
My Fall flowers making a great showing in the Spring.
Yesterday and today I was using the wrong dates on invoices and for that reason, I thought yesterday, Thursday, was Tax Day. Getting old has some advantages, but they are few and far between.
This morning I was slow moving and didn't get to the office until about 10:30. My plan had been to go to lunch with Mom, my sister, my brother and his wife. Just as I was about to go, Ron had a job he had to go on and said it was one of those that could take a few minutes or a few hours. So I didn't get to go to lunch.
While he was gone, I did a little cleaning. Then I stayed busy with customers. It was busier than most Fridays. He came back for a little while before he had to leave for a job at the island. Since I had expected to go out to lunch, I had not brought a lunch, so just before he left I went to pick up some lunch and then stayed busy for the first couple of hours he was gone.
Mom, my sister-in-law, my sister, me, Ron, and my brother.
Once I got home, I worked in the kitchen for a while and read some before talking to our daughter-in-law in New Mexico. She had spoken to a group at a church in Albuquerque, and I was eager to hear how it had gone so I waited up for her call. It sounds like it was very well received. I am sure it was harder than usual to do with the pain in her leg, but she managed.
I'm always amazed at how much Gordon looks like your dad....at least from the pictures I've seen.
ReplyDeleteYes, he really does look like our dad.
